ocated in Ten Sleep, Wyoming, Red Reflet Ranch expands across 27,000 privately-owned acres nestled under the shadow of the Big Horn Mountains. A town of 260 people located on a historic Native American trading route, Ten Sleep earned its name for the "ten sleeps" it took to reach it from Clark's Fork River in the Bridger Range of Montana or from the Platte River in Casper, Wyoming. With both the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks only a few hours away, the Ranch's location works great for travelers taking a Western road trip or for patrons who want a break aer hitting some of the more famous Wyoming hotspots. anks to its abundant waterways, the Ranch is an ideal location for raising livestock. A wrangler way of life has persisted among the red rocks surrounding this home on the range ever since. Chugwater sandstone formations capture the same mood of the towers and plateaus of Monument Valley's famous landscapes (imagine every Western movie ever made). e high shelves of maroon, spackled with oranges and crimsons, frame a vast meadow dotted with green shrubbery. e image might only improve with a distant silhouette of a cowboy-hatted figure on a horse before a setting sun. e transparent lakes mirror the baby blue sky, or in the night, the thousands of stars that go unseen in large cities with light pollution. At an altitude of 5,000 feet, with its upper ranch at 8,300 feet, guests will be hard-pressed to find another American ranch experience this close to the night skies. anks to its elevation, wildflowers peek out of the ground early and stay active throughout the summer. With Spring Beauties, Lupines, Buckwheat, Yellowbells, Alpine Wallflowers, and Black-eyed Susans speckling the hillsides, guests might struggle to ever go home aer they've spent time among such breathtaking scenery.
