A VUE Media Publication | 201-850-1300 Visit www.vuenj.com for our exclusive blog. lmost five years ago, we set out to launch a brand that celebrates luxury in its many shapes, forms and details. We created VUE with late nights in the office, on weekends in coffee shops and in our homes. We started a magazine. One that was uniquely ours and a part of our community. Because of you, our readers, we have published countless stories since our first in 2015. Today, it's time for me to set VUE aside, but not before I express my gratitude to our community and my fellow staff, who will no doubt take VUE to new heights in the future. From the moment I started planning this issue, I just knew it was going to be a blast to put together. Spring brings about so many new and exciting opportunities here in New Jersey and this issue's contents are a reflection of that. Putting our local dining pieces together from concept to completion is always one of the more fun parts about working on VUE. Not only do we get to eat all the food and drink all the drinks, but we get to develop our own opinion and specific perspective on local dining. From the moment I walked into Faubourg in Montclair last fall, I knew the town instantly had a new hotspot. I couldn't wait to get our writers and photographers in the door this year to find out what makes these two Daniel Boulud alums tick. On the flip side, this issue's piece on spring cocktails features a bit more of a flair for the dramatic than typical. When we put this story together, we wanted to highlight some of the newest cocktails for spring at Jockey Hollow's Vail Bar. What resulted was a photoshoot involving everything from fire, smoke and splashes (minus a broken glass which, to the owner Chris Cannon, we humbly apologize—it was worth it!). Elsewhere, this issue is about highlighting individuals and their own personal stories. In the world of fashion and social influencing—Daniel Toni Jais pulled back the curtain and gave me a look into his life on the road. I also got to interview Nelson De La Nuez, AKA e King of Pop Art. You've seen his work, but perhaps not his story. In VUE's 2020 Spring Issue, you'll come to find all this and more. I wish you all good health and a wonderful spring season.
