Aer seeing lots of buzz online, including winning Condé Nast's 2019 Best Urban Hotel Award, we knew e Plymouth South Beach was the place to visit. e four- story hotel with 103 rooms and two restaurants is located in City Center only steps away from Miami Beach, shopping centers, and the theatre district. Although there are plenty of places in Miami to see and be-seen, e Plymouth continues to offer below-the-radar privacy with design elements that integrate updated modern aesthetics with a touch of 1940's glam as an ode to its original opening during Miami's Golden Age. Most rooms offer pool views and are dressed up with tued bed frames, airy and clean furniture, vintage light fixtures, claw-foot tubs and subway-tiled bathrooms. Calming tones of pink and blue fabrics allow pieces of the room to pop and incorporate thoughtful furnishings like full-length mirrors, French-style bathrooms, and vanities. e highlights of the hotel are definitely the pool and private beach areas. Pastel color accents of parasols and lounge chairs and placement of lovely palms and ferns throughout the pool area look as though you've stepped into a vintage postcard. It's the perfect place to start the day, meet your friends, tan with a drink in hand or snap pics for Instagram. e private beach area offers the same perks with lounge chairs, towels and plenty of sun. We opted to take the short walk to the beach, but guests can also catch a ride on e Plymobile if they prefer. Aer a long day, e Plymouth is home to Blue Ribbon Sushi & Bar with menus inspired by NYC's renowned Blue Ribbon restaurants. e Plymouth Grill offers an appetizing breakfast menu including their famous "PAN-cake." Our stay was regrettably too short, however e Plymouth offers a number of activities such as yoga on the beach, barefoot running bootcamp, massages and more.
