Get to know the founders of ECS Homes
and their breathtaking Bergen County abode.
T
heir story began
over a decade
ago. Mike Elayan
and Nour Jaloudi
didn't always have
professional careers in building
and designing homes. Elayan
had a background in real estate
and Jaloudi was in banking. One
day, the couple found themselves
in possession of a dilapidated
six-unit apartment building and
they needed to quickly figure out
how to turn it around. Le with
a shell of a building, Elayan and
Jaloudi took on the renovation
work themselves. ey learned a
great deal about the construction
industry and grew a liking
to it. As time went on, they
continued to take on minor
renovations, random handyman
work, and slowly built their
company through the quality of
their work. Today, ECS Homes
constructs about seven custom
high-end homes each year and
has evolved into a full-time job.
