Now, perhaps more than ever, this is so important as we connect (and reconnect) with our family and friends. Typically this is the unofficial kickoff for the "giving season." A time for people to get together to celebrate family and abundance. It's also a time to pause and consider how to give back. In the spirit of giving, we are delighted to present to you our annual Holiday Issue. Each year we spend time seeking out the top local charities and foundations to provide a spotlight on those making the biggest impact in the world today. We've profiled a few that are near and dear to our hearts. In addition, you'll also find a local & national directory of some of the top foundations should you look to provide a charitable donation this year. We are also very excited to present our annual Holiday Gi Guide, which has been carefully curated by our in-house team. Spread over a dozen categories, nearly 100 gis make this our largest and most comprehensive gi guide to date! Nearly everything has been reviewed and tested by us, ensuring that each item has the "VUE stamp of approval." If you're like me, you'll end up giving a gi card to a friend or family member who has everything and is impossible to shop for. I can assure you that will change this year, as we've got you covered for all occasions. What follows in the pages to come are just a few of our favorite things (as Oprah might say). We've even got you covered for your furry friends. Over the last few months, we've had the opportunity to travel to the Outer Banks in North Carolina and to stay in the recently re-opened Ivy Hotel in Baltimore. Here we provide a first- hand take of each experience, as we know this season traveling may be more likely done in a car versus flying to a destination. If you're looking for a bit of a further travel experience, we explore Iceland's Five Million Star Hotel. We hope to provide a little bit of inspiration in the pages to come. From our interview with Olympic Winning Snowboarder, Meghan Tierney to our conversation with designer Josh Bennett, who shares his story and his recent collaboration with Marvel. On the entertaining side, we share tips for holiday decorating along with the perfect 3-course meal for the holidays. We also share how to throw the ultimate at-home New Year's Eve party, with David Tutera, America's premier party and event planner.
