levels, we could see the surrounding nature preserve with bold ocean vistas peering through. The details and expert craftsmanship, however, are what really caught my attention. Bathrooms, for example, incorporate the smallest of details and indigenous materials like capiz shells, dried sponges and coral rock. Impressive from every angle, the rooms are everything you'd expect and want in the Keys - airy and light with vaulted ceilings and luxurious ensuite bathrooms. Traveling to Florida after more than a year of isolation, we couldn't help but appreciate the comforts of home available to us. Every morning, small tins containing fresh fruit and pastries were delivered to our door for us to enjoy before we ventured out to the community clubhouse to lounge by the waterfront pool. As each home is intended to bring a taste of the beach indoors, the summer kitchen, charming front porch, and private terrace off the master, offered outdoor sanctuaries we used many times throughout our stay. While the resort provides options to pre-stock the fridge or arrange for a private chef, we enjoyed grocery shopping and preparing a couple of family-style dinners. We ventured over to Playa Largo Resort some nights for their Eventide event – a festive sunset celebration, complete with live music and tiki drinks sipped from pineapples – before dinner at Sol by the Sea. Peering out over the dock and private marina, the open-air restaurant serves up fish caught that morning, along with tropical entrees and cocktails like the Dragon Fruit Mojito. As a perk, guests of Ocean Residences have unlimited access to the resort's signature amenities like the zero-entry pool and complimentary beach cruisers. Everything can be tailored, including fishing excursions, sailing lessons, Enviro Tours with a marine biologist, and even a seaplane arrival.
