She perceives her creative endeavor as a journey moving
ever onward. It's a path that has led her to a fresh new partnership
with a recent client, Melissa Polo Landau, who also happens to
be a professional stylist. After successfully collaborating on a
large photo art piece for Landau's home, the two decided to
embrace their collective talent and newfound momentum by
going into business together. Today they are working as a
two-piece branding package with Landau as stylist and Laxton
capturing it all from behind the lens. "On the set we're both
creative directors," says Landau, "we're both in line with the
same vision. We're creating art through people." The duo has
completed five projects together at the time of writing, having
most recently returned from a business trip to Miami. "At the
end of the day," says Laxton, "we're creating images that are
done tastefully."
