3. Why is a rug such an important element
in a room's decor?
A rug quite literally grounds a room. It is a vital part
of the décor and can establish the design of a room. For
example, a contemporary rug instantly updates a more
traditional room, or a simple sisal can soften the most
contemporary interior.
4 . When planning a room , do you start

room a fter it has been designed?
We do start the design of a room with the rug to
dictate the color scheme. We also like to always see
how large a rug can be scaled into a room as a vital
starting point regardless of color, as it delineates the
placement and scale of the furniture.
5. What do you think your collaboration with
Loloi will bring to your business?
We are really proud to partner with the Loloi family on
their first designer trade collection.
We've been able to make beautiful wool, hand-knotted
rugs that are collectible and affordable (and often in-stock!)
It's important for the health of our industry that designers have
quality, custom designed products for their clients that elevate
their work and offer something more special than from a big
retailer. Loloi also sells directly to consumers, too, so for those
not working with a designer, it's nice to have vetted products
to choose from.
