Creating a Visual Experience around Art Anna Maria Mannarino is an award-winning veteran in her field of interior design. Her background in the art world frequently has her called upon to curate important art collections, or to facilitate the proper displaying of existing collections. As more people seek to invest in art, Mannarino's clients look to her to assist in the procurement of significant pieces, and ultimately to design spaces that will showcase these coveted works of art. In a recent project, Anna Maria showcased pieces by and of, several high-profile artists including, Andy Warhol, Jim Dine, Nina Simone, Rolling Stones, and the Beatles. For this art installation, she sported a rustic minimalist approach to the room paired with an open ceiling and floor concept that highlighted the vibrancy of the artwork on display. Large windows and natural lighting consciously draw attention to the Jim Dine piece displayed over the open industrial fireplace she designed. Minimal use of textures and a neutral color scheme contrast the vibrant and intense red, yellow, and pink hues of the paintings and photographs displayed around the room. From the strategically planned layout, furniture selection, and color palette, Anna Maria carefully designed the space to have practicality while also having a sensual, relaxed feel that allowed the art to stand. Unlike the traditional approach, in these situations, Anna Maria builds the room around the art, creating sophisticated masterpieces out of the spaces, that reflect her clients' interior design preferences, while juxtaposing the art in the best and most significant way.
