ipsum NO DOGS ON GREEN We've been friends for over 500 years. I woke up in the middle of the night with that visual etched in my brain, the words sounding crystal clear as if he had complete mastery of the English language. is was spoken to me by Bishop, my dog. I should probably point out that this was said in a dream, one of the most vivid dreams of my life. He ended up jumping in bed that night. He's more or less a ninja dog as he can get in and under the covers without waking a soul. He was right at my leg and I ended up kicking him off the bed. Hard. I woke up to him crying on the floor, and I had no idea why so I picked him up and let him sleep on the bed. A moment later I was back fast asleep. ey say dreams are your subconscious speaking to you, although I'm not sure how this could have fallen to my subconscious so quickly. I fell into a new dream, and Bishop was upset at me and kept saying "you kicked me." Of course, I apologized profusely and let him know it was a total accident. He responded by telling me we are friends. I agreed, and he continued to let me know that we are friends. In fact, he said, "we've been friends for over 500 years." en I woke up. I'm not quite sure what this means. Perhaps we were warriors in battle reunited five centuries later. e story of how Bishop came into my life is even more surreal, but that will have to wait for another day. I share this because I truly believe that everything does happen for a reason. Life may not always make sense while living it, but you can look back and connect the dots to see how everything lines up perfectly. Our Summer issue is a very special one. You'll have to keep turning the pages to see all the great content, but you should definitely notice some changes here that we are very excited about. VUE welcomes its newest lead designer, Cassidy Lyons, who will be heading our creative direction both digitally and in print. We also continue to grow our editorial team, ensuring we continue to deliver rich content that you will be excited to read. We have some exciting news coming. To say it will be the biggest announcement in the history of VUE New Jersey will be an understatement. Unfortunately, I'm not able to share it just yet - but stay tuned I promise to deliver the news next issue. It's something we could never have imagined in our wildest dreams, and very shortly it will become a reality. Until then, we hope you have an incredible Summer and we hope you enjoy this issue!
