In a recent collaboration with Swedish ornithologist
Ulf Ohman, another stunning addition will find
its place among the hotel's cutting-edge lodgings
for guests to choose from: e Biosphere. For the
enthusiastic bird watcher, this new lodging option is
the perfect opportunity to see the local bird wildlife
up close. e checker façade of this suspended, hive-
like structure is covered with 350 birdhouses in a
conscious effort to increase the local bird populations
of the Swedish woods affected by climate change and
rejuvenate their natural environment. According to
Öhman, who is also the Chairman of the Norrbotten
Ornithological Association, the design of the
birdhouses will not only assist their local wildlife,
but also inspire guests to set up birdhouses near their
own homes.
