As with any wedding, dessert played a starring role in every
event. October turned into December and the weekend
of the wedding arrived with the first event, a welcome
reception that was given the theme, "e Wedding is
Coming." Many of the couple's guests were flying in from
the West Coast, so the family wanted to provide a smaller,
casual event to bring everyone together before the black-
tie formality of the big day. e main feature of the room
was the groom's cake. "Kendall chose this time to have
my baker create a groom's cake for Sam decorated like the
Game of rones which he loves. It was an amazing cake
with dragons, swords, and shields. e only thing we le off
was the blood," details Anna Maria.
