Upon your entrance into the dining room, you will be met with a tranquil, coastal atmosphere. Beautiful blue hues coupled with palm tree wallpaper and booth-to-ceiling nautical rope partitions are just some of the many distinctive aspects of design that give Rosie's its "seashore" feel. ere is a stairway leading up to the second floor dining room that has wooden spindles and handrails, resembling a staircase that might have been seen on an old ship. ere is a feature wall with a fireplace for a cozy night atmosphere, as well as walls of windows all around to capture the natural light and boast the water view of Toms River. One of the defining features of Rosie's Restaurant is its impeccable cuisine. Led by Executive Chef/Partner Chris Herrmann and Sous Chef Tommy DePaolo, the kitchen team at Rosie's is known for its creative and innovative approach to culinary arts. e menu is a carefully curated selection of gourmet dishes that showcase the finest local ingredients, expertly prepared to tantalize your taste buds. e restaurant's commitment to quality is evident in every dish that graces the table. Rosie's menu could be described as high-end seafood and American fare with an Asian and Italian flare. Each dish has its own Rosie's twist, and that is what will make your experience the most memorable. At the beginning of your meal, your friendly server will offer you their bread and signature butter; take it! Chef Chris' lips are sealed when it comes to his secret whipped butter recipe, but you have permission to dream about it long aer your meal. Aside from their to-die-for butter, the bread is toasted to perfection and is served with an olive oil and balsamic dipping bowl. One of the must-have appetizers at Rosie's are the house-made edamame dumplings. ey have the perfect crunch on the outside and come with a side of soy dipping sauce. e fried calamari is arguably some of the best around. It is perfectly coated in batter (with a gluten- free option available) and is served with long hot peppers, marinara sauce, and lemon aioli. Rosie's also offers options such as steak tartare, a charcuterie board to share with friends, or their tuna nachos, which are topped with fresh, seared Ahi tuna, avocado, and wontons with sriracha aioli. ere is also an array of soups and salads for starters, as well as a very impressive main course menu. Choose from the 14-ounce Prime Gaucho Ribeye, served with purple sweet potatoes and street corn, the gluten-free seafood risotto with scallops, shrimp, and mussels, the truffle gnocchi, or one of the house favorites, the pan-seared halibut and chicken Milanese burrata. e halibut is perfectly cooked and smothered in a Beurre Blanc sauce, served with a side of sauteed spinach and potato. e chicken Milanese is a crispy, yet juicy filet of chicken that is topped with arugula, fresh burrata cheese, and the most scrumptious glaze. Rosie's offers options for side dishes such as a baked sweet potato, crispy Brussel sprouts, or Chef Chris' specialty, the lobster mac-n- cheese. e lobster mac-n-cheese can be ordered as a side dish or as a main course as it is that good.
