DAY THREE While still docked in Venice, guests are guided on an hour-long bus ride to the prosperous city of Vicenza where they are given an early access tour of the Teatro Olimpico, designed by the Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. Vicenza, a quieter region of Venice, is rich in authentic Venetian cuisine and architecture. Aer exploring the city and returning to the S.S. La Venezia, we were welcomed to the captain's dinner with a glass of sparkling wine and set sail along the Venetian lagoon to the island of Burano. DAY FOUR Aer watching the sun rise over the island of Burano, we had the day to explore amidst the colorful homes that heighten the magical atmosphere of the town. Famous for its lace making and Murano glass, the island is eccentric and blossoming with color. Quaint little storefronts and fine dining experiences offer up the perfect day of adventure. Aer a short ferry ride from Burano to Murano, Uniworld guests received a glimpse into the longstanding tradition of glass-making at one of the oldest, family-owned businesses in the area. Aer an exceptional dinner back on the S.S. La Venezia, we set sail once again to the quaint town of Chioggia. DAY FIVE In the south of Venice awaits Chioggia, the delightful town proud of its local fishing traditions. A guided tour of a large fresh fish market and flea market with a plethora of accessories, clothing, and souvenirs native to Italy stretched far and wide along the cobblestone streets. Aer exploring in the early morning, guests then took a bus ride for a visit and tasting at Dominio di Bagnoli. We traversed through the spectacular vineyards, in awe of the surrounding beauty and elegant nature of such a historic estate. VUENJ.COM 83
