On a chilly December afternoon, I sat
down with Henrik Lundqvist, former
goalie for the New York Rangers and
current sports analyst and
entrepreneur who has been
colloquially dubbed "The King" for
his illustrious 15 year professional
career with the NHL. Our table is in
the back corner of a restaurant and
Lundqvist's demeanor appears
tranquil and at ease despite sharing
details of a work schedule that has
him ping ponging between coasts
for the rest of December before the
holidays. Although chaotic, he seems
to enjoy the tug and pull of his work
schedule because, unlike the past
20+ years of his life, this new journey
is one that offers him moments of
pause and rest. "I choose to be very
grateful for so many other things,
and the experiences I had throughout
my career. Instead of wishing that I
could have gotten more, I was very
happy with what I got."
