VUE ON | ARTISTS Bobby echoes a similar sentiment when discussing how he balances being the sole owner of four different restaurant locations with also being a husband and father. "You learn to become uber efficient," he says. "e more that you put on your plate, it forces you to be super efficient, super productive." His drive to accomplish more every day has served him well and fuels his future endeavors. "For me, for every mountain you climb, you gotta be looking for the next one," he declares. "e journey of having a reason is what gets me up in the morning." His work ethic is one of the things that Vanessa appreciates most about Bobby. "What I love about Bobby is his tenacity and how it fuels me," she says. And the appreciation is mutual. "We both work very, very hard," Bobby observes. "But we make time for one another. We can get lost in what we do, but we always find the time." Bobby and Vanessa, while both self-admitted social butterflies, find their quality time together in solitude. "While we both love being social and love to host, we also love being alone and unwinding and talking. We look forward to those moments," Vanessa says. eir wonderful dynamic is fueled by their common interests, as Bobby describes how "we can go on a date and appreciate the flow of the restaurant." And while they may have different ideas on design from time to time, this "great team" is always on the same page when it comes to holding mutual respect for one another. Bobby shares that "our true strength is we have very similar interests, and that lends itself to a really great relationship. We both have our own identity and we get to align them as we collaborate together." Since their wedding ten years ago, Bobby and Vanessa have collaborated on everything from restaurant design to legal advice for business contracts to raising their son. eir next big project together is working on their recently purchased dream home for which they have a "vision, aesthetic, and flow." While their roots grow deeper in the Garden State, Bobby and Vanessa also share the exciting news of branching out and developing properties together, starting with a boutique hotel, restaurant, and bar in St. Maarten. For these two creative and driven individuals, the future looks bright. In addition to running her own award-winning interior design firm, Vanessa DeLeon Associates, and expanding her brand with her H'om products and VZAG mosaic tile line, Vanessa also serves as brand ambassador for DOCA Kitchens.
