To take in all Wylder Tilghman Island has to offer, summer is the best time to visit. Guests are invited to hop on a sunset cruise for beautiful views and a small history lesson about the Eastern Shore, brush up on their bartending skills at a cra cocktail class, learn how to catch fresh crabs, and enjoy live music at the famous Tickler's Crab Shack. Visitors can enjoy the summer sun on a scenic bike ride of the island, at the saltwater pool, basking in the sun on the private beach, or if they are feeling adventurous, paddleboards and kayaks are available and complimentary for guests of the resort. Lawn games and bocce are available for guests to play at their leisure. End the day with waterfront s'mores by the bonfire pits and take in the endless sunsets. During the cooler fall months, the excitement does not end at Wylder Tilghman Island with a plethora of activities and festivals for visitors to experience. Maryland is famous for their deliciously fresh seafood, and fall is the best time to enjoy scrumptious, juicy blue crabs, caught and served daily at Tickler's Crab Shack. Tilghman Island Day also takes place in October and is a great time to enjoy fresh seafood and watch some boat races, located within walking distance of the hotel. Spend the aernoon shopping at local shops, featuring everything from fishing gear to vintage clothing, or check out the Tilghman Watermen's Museum, paying homage to the traditional life of a waterman on the Chesapeake Bay. Oysterfest, better known as a seafood lover's dream, takes place in St. Michaels in the fall and has fresh oysters, live music, contests, and demonstrations for visitors to participate in.
