Driven by a commitment to revolutionize
automotive manufacturing for environmental
sustainability, Kevin Czinger, through Divergent
3D, focused on developing a sustainable
production system. is system incorporates
automated design and optimization soware,
state-of-the-art additive manufacturing (3D
printing technology), automated assembly, and
in-house performance materials to streamline
manufacturing and reduce environmental impact.
Lukas Czinger joined forces with his father in
2017, dedicating three years to developing the
fixtureless assembly technology employed by
the company today. During this period, he
conceptualized and implemented the Divergent
Automated Assembly System (DAPS), aiming
for accuracy over repeatability. e system
employs external guidance systems to enhance
robot positioning, reducing waste and
redundancies in traditional casting, molding,
and welding processes. Using aluminum alloys
through additive manufacturing has significantly
improved performance by enhancing structural
integrity and reducing weight.
