Holly Suzanne Rader is an artist unlike any other. Her work liter- ally shines through the creation of collages and embellishments of those collages. Vintage glamour meets beads, glitter, crystals, and rhinestones in these breathtaking pieces. Beginning her work in her college years at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Rader's work has naturally evolved over the last 20 years. Starting with traditional oil painting and portrait painting, her pieces have become magnificent collages with beaded and glit- tered embellishments that make them incredibly unique. She is represented by three galleries: Detour Gallery in New York, Convey Art Gallery in Ridgewood, NJ, and Parlor Gallery in As- bury Park, NJ. However, her work has been shown all over the world, from Paris to Hong Kong to Oslo. Her most recent show was with Detour Gallery, where her solo ex- hibition "Dreamwreck" was on display. "I was ok, and then I was not ok. I crashed into myself while reaching for a bottle of pink champagne. Welcome to my Dreamwreck. I have no idea where I am going, so come with me…" her statement read. "All Day I Dream About Chanel," "Heart of Glass," and "Royal Pain" were among the many works featured in the three display rooms. ey are all for sale, ranging from the hundreds to ten thousands of dollars. Although the "Dreamwreck" exhibition has now closed, Rader is working on a new gallery representation in Louisiana. In the mean- time, she teaches classes at the Convey Art Gallery in Ridgewood, NJ. Every Wednesday and ursday night, she hosts collage and painting workshops. Each and every one of her pieces is carefully craed, beautiful- ly made, and fabulously unique. To purchase these works, head over to the galleries or follow her on social media under the name @hollywould_studios. Holly Suzanne Rar BY AMANDA JONES VUENJ.COM 51
