As my readers have come to know from past articles, I have been doing this for a long time. I have guided investors and their portfolios through countless recessions, bull markets, bear markets, tech wrecks, booms, and busts. It was always something: Cannabis, bitcoin, or the tulip craze in the 1600s (OK, maybe I'm not THAT old). ere always seems to be some form of a new hot topic that is supposedly going to change the world. In the last issue of the VUE, we dug deep into how to protect yourself by following my five golden rules. However, I think AI may be the most compelling and legitimate game changer of my career, potentially even bigger than the internet. Although, like the internet and tech boom with its ensuing dot com bubble, the world did change. With the internet, there truly was world-changing technology and legitimate investment winners, but not without filling a graveyard with stocks that simply imploded. Timing and following the rules is everything, of course. Many people got wrapped up in the excitement, forgot the golden rules, and ended up getting hurt.
