VUE: WHO MAKES YOU LAUGH THE HARDEST? TERRY: MY WIFE REBECCA! VUE: Where do you see yourself in ten years, career wise and personally? Terry: Career wise, still acting, hosting, and producing but in different countries like Brazil, Dubai, South Korea, South Africa, and Nigeria. By that time, I believe the entertainment industries in those countries will rival anything Hollywood has ever done. Also, be just as famous for my furnishings, lighting, and interior design creations as I am for my work in Hollywood. Personally, helping Rebecca expand the reach of her clothing line (Rebecca Crews) and both celebrating 45 years married! VUE: If you could go back and talk to yourself at 18 years old, what would you say? Terry: "Don't worry about it." So many things I worried about at a young age never happened and the things that did, happened because I was worried about them! Also, "the best thing you can do for the whole world is to make the most of yourself. Never feel guilty about self-improvement." VUE: In addition to your on-screen work, you're also an author, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker. How do you manage to juggle so many different projects, and what advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to diversify their careers? Terry: Focus is the key to getting things done. I learned it is much better to do three things efficiently than to do ten things haphazardly. Also, I learned to concentrate fully on whatever you are doing at the time. e phrase I use is "Make the mundane magnificent." By giving your full self to a few things, you end up with a hell of a lot done, as opposed to starting a hundred things and never finishing them. My advice to everyone is to start small (the mundane) but put everything you have into it. Doing small things in a great way, you will find you finish things thoroughly, then move on to the next thing (diversification). In time, you'll realize you've done more things in a better way than you ever thought you could. VUE: You've also ventured into the world of voice acting with roles in animated films like "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2" and "e Willoughbys." What unique challenges and rewards come with voicing animated characters, and do you have any favorite characters you've voiced? Terry: Voice acting starts with being authentic. People feed off the spirit and energy you give to the character's voice. e emotion must be real for the audience to feel it because of the disconnect animation automatically has with the viewer. ere are times I am in a full sweat aer a voice-over VUENJ.COM 61
