VUE: Your music blends elements of pop and rock in a unique way. Can you share how you developed your signature sound and what influences have shaped your musical journey? CHASE: My musical journey began at home, surrounded by my parents' eclectic taste in music. Growing up, I was constantly exposed to artists like Mariah Carey, TLC, John Mayer, Nickelback, and 3 Doors Down. ese early influences have le an indelible mark on my musical identity. Today, my playlists are a reflection of this diverse background, ranging from soulful R&B to classic rock. While studying in New Orleans, I became enamored with the local blues, jazz, and soul scenes, which deepened my appreciation for artists like Amy Winehouse, Etta James, and Jazmine Sullivan. Performing with a cover band in college allowed me to experiment with various genres, but I found myself most drawn to soul, rock, and R&B. As I carve out my path as a new artist, it's crucial for me to stay emotionally connected to the music I create. My goal is to cra songs that resonate deeply, empowering both myself and my audience, much like the female vocalists I admire. BLENDING POP, ROCK, & SOUL INTO A UNIQUE SOUND VUE: You've been active in the music industry for a while now. What has been the most significant challenge you've faced, and how did you overcome it? CHASE: Entering the music industry is both exhilarating and daunting. e biggest challenge I've faced is overcoming fear—fear of failure, fear of not being good enough, and fear of the unknown. As a new artist, it can be intimidating to put yourself out there, especially in such a competitive field. But I realized that the only way to succeed is to believe in myself wholeheartedly. Every day, I work on proving to myself that I am capable and deserving of a place in this industry. VUE: Your songs oen explore deep emotions and relatable themes. Can you walk us through your songwriting process and how you tap into these emotions when creating new music? CHASE: It's crucial for me to surround myself with a supportive and creative team. Working with talented collaborators like Shane Stevens, Lauren, and Solomon Olds has been a game-changer. Our sessions feel like catching up with friends—we chat, laugh, and let ideas flow naturally.
