opened Symi to showcase the
incredible flavors and dishes
embedded in Greek culture. Growing
up with her father running Kyma, a
New York-based restaurant group,
Irena learned the ins and outs of the
restaurant industry and ultimately
decided to open her own when she
moved to Northport, Long Island and
noticed a lack of authentic Greek
cuisine. Wanting to share her love for
her culture's cuisine, the process of
creating Symi Restaurant began with
finding the perfect location and
partnering with an exceptional chef.
