We caught up with Jenn in Miami, where she's currently balancing grad school with a whirlwind of public life. It's a paradox she wears well: clinical medical science by day, dancing with sequins and camera crews by night. Her story is one of deep-rooted self-discovery—an evolution that began long before the roses and reality cameras. " Being the first Asian American Bachelorette put a lot of pressure on my shoulders," Jenn shares. "I didn't know if I was the right person. I felt like the wrong pick, honestly, because I'd spent so much of my life hiding my roots." Growing up in New Jersey, Jenn felt "othered"—the only Vietnamese girl in school, with food her classmates didn't understand and a language she learned to speak quietly. But college gave her the room to reclaim herself. Now, she walks with clarity and pride—and carries that message with purpose. I felt like the wrong pick, honestly, because I'd spent so much of my life hiding my ROOTS. VUENJ.COM 59
