D A N A ATO OT Q: What's a defining moment in your career that shaped how you lead today? A: With a double master's in education, years of teaching experience, and a deep passion for children's development, I built our programs around what I knew was best for kids. But my people-pleasing personality kicked in, and I started saying yes to every request. One day, I walked into a class and realized this wasn't what I believed was best for the children. at was my lightbulb moment. I learned that staying rooted in my expertise and values is key. Now, I lead with purpose, train with intention, and take feedback thoughtfully, not reactively. Q: How do you approach challenges, and what's a lesson you've learned along the way? A: In the early days, I thought every challenge needed to be solved right now, even if it meant sleepless nights, juggling kids on my lap, and answering DMs like it was a sport. I believed peace would come aer the next obstacle. Five years in, I've learned that challenges are just part of the ride. Now, I face them with perspective (and a calendar). I've stopped pressing the fast-forward button, because rushing through problems can mean missing the moments that matter most. Q: What's the best advice you've received as a woman in business? A: You can do a lot—but not everything all at once. As a mom of three and wife to a real-life Superman, I used to chase perfection in every role…and lost myself in the process. e best advice? Run your race. When I stopped comparing and set goals that actually fit my life, I found balance, joy, and finally felt like I was winning in all the ways that mattered. Run your race." 80 VUENJ.COM
