VUE: How do you balance timeless elegance with contemporary trends in your designs? GHINZELLI: I always try to design with a sense of classic looks that defy fleeting fads. But I still need to pay careful attention to what's going on - whether it's in the fashion industry or in pop culture. Everything we do in society shapes our perception of everyday life. In order for my collection to stay relevant to the lives of my clients, I have to be aware of what activities interests them and how they choose to conduct their daily lives so that my hats serve those well. VUE: What are your plans for expanding the brand in the future, both in terms of product offerings and reach? GHINZELLI: I'm definitely working on a few ideas. And I'm sure some will work, others may not. Because I want to create other categories that align with the overall brand aesthetic, I need to make sure whatever I do decide to launch will feel organic to the brand. At the moment I'm trying to develop a dress collection. I'm also looking at creating a diffusion line that I hope will be priced accessibly to more women who may have a tighter budget so that they can also be part of the Vitalina Ghinzelli world in some way. VUE: What advice would you give to aspiring designers looking to break into the luxury fashion market? GHINZELLI: is is definitely not an easy business to break into. I would advice anyone who wants to step into it to have a strong sense of purpose in what they are doing – whether it's in their creative vision or business sense. Even those who are smart enough to anticipate the many many challenges of this field may be caught unaware of some of the pitfalls. So I say try not to be so rigid in your approach, be prepared to adapt as you go along as you try to navigate your ideal goals with a sense of what is practical and doable. And in the end, what is probably most important is to listen to your customers, in the end you need to respond to what they want and what they're looking for so that you can keep creating things that inspire everyone. In the end, remember to enjoy the journey and love what you do because it is that passion that will keep you going when things get tough. VUE ON | FASHION 48 VUELONGISLAND.COM
