Watermelon is a refreshing
and hydrating fruit that's
low in calories and rich in
nutrients, with the ability to
recharge cells and make you
glow from the inside out!
With watermelons typically in
season from May-September,
they are an obvious summer
favorite! While a summer
watermelon salad with mint and
feta cheese mix-ins is delicious,
it's been overdone! I'd like to
offer you another idea to use
that ripe refreshing watermelon
for: Watermelon Agua Fresca.
The idea originally came from
a drink I'd make for my cocktail
parties and while this recipe
is Mocktail style for the entire
family to enjoy, know that adding
vodka is always well received!
My guests would swoon over
this drink and it's just as great
(if not even better) without the
alcohol. Kids and adults will be
impressed as nothing beats
a refreshing drink on a warm
summer day!
Happy Summer to all,
Alessandra Taylor
