From the moment she first traced her finger across a world map before the age of five, travel was never an escape for her—it was an education. Born in Iran and raised in a household steeped in art, history, and intellectual curiosity, the founder of Artemis Armelia learned early on that culture is not something to observe from a distance, but something to experience, celebrate, and translate. Books lined the walls of her childhood home, and conversations oen revolved around civilizations, architecture, and the rituals that define human connection. Long before boarding a plane, she was traveling through stories, studying how beauty manifests differently across the world, and absorbing the idea that celebration itself is an art form. at early fascination eventually evolved into formal study. Architecture, and particularly the history of architecture, became a lens through which she understood how societies express identity, belief, and emotion through space. It is this foundation—equal parts intellectual and intuitive—that would later shape the philosophy behind Artemis Armelia. FROM CRAFT TO CONCEPT C re at iv it y w as not s ome t h i ng she discovered—it was inherited. Introduced to fashion design and garment construction by her mother, she learned the discipline of making at a young age. By sixteen, she had completed formal sewing training; by seventeen, she had launched her own fashion brand. ese formative years instilled a deep respect for crasmanship, proportion, and precision, values that remain central to her work today. Her path, however, was never linear. Aer studying architecture, she relocated to Canada, where she stepped into management roles that refined a different but equally essential skill set: leadership. ere, she learned how to manage complex schedules, direct teams, navigate high-pressure environments, and respond calmly to crises— capabilities that would later become indispensable in the world of large-scale, high-profile weddings.
