Born and raised in New York City, Dr. Howard Sobel is a pioneer in cosmetic dermatology and currently is a Clinical Attending physician at Lenox Hill Hospital's Dermatology and Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Sobel also leads New York's premier aesthetic dermatology center, Sobel Skin. Boasting over 30 years of experience as a board- certified dermatological cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Sobel is highly esteemed in the cosmetic dermatology industry. Using techniques from both dermatology and cosmetic surgery, Dr. Sobel consistently delivers lasting, natural-looking results through his unique artistry. Located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan and specializing in non-surgical treatments using state-of-the-art technology, Sobel Skin offers some of the most innovative and effective treatments and procedures in the industry. Having decades of experience in the cosmetic dermatology industry, Dr. Sobel has experienced and contributed to the evolution of the way the practice is approached. Dr. Sobel believes that the key to achieving the best look possible is to not focus on finding a quick fix to a problem, but creating a combination of treatments and products that is right for each patient. When Dr. Sobel first started out, dermatology and cosmetic surgery were two totally different worlds. Once scientists and doctors realized that dermatology was more than just taking care of a problem and can be combined with cosmetic techniques to enhance and sculpt, the gap between the two worlds began to close. Dr. Sobel is known for his expertise in liposuction, laser treatments, Botox and fillers, along with hair regrowth procedures and everything in between. "When I first started my practice, dermatology was very different," Dr. Sobel explained, "ere wasn't much cosmetic dermatology; the two were always separate and I helped bridge the gap between dermatology and cosmetic dermatology." In the early 90's, Dr.Sobel developed DDF (Doctor's Dermatologic Formula), the first dermatologist developed skincare line which was sold to P&G and completely changed the way doctors and patients viewed the ways dermatology could be used for long-term results.
