Prior to becoming a lawyer, Karolina worked as a social worker, driven by the same passion for helping others that continues to define her career today. In her role as an international family law attorney, Karolina was contacted by 300 families when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy placed an indefinite moratorium on intercountry adoptions. While acknowledging the move was driven by efforts to protect vulnerable children from human trafficking, Karolina is passionate about ensuring the adoption of Ukrainian orphans into loving American homes. "My career, personally, will be spent on this cause," she states. "Eventually, the war will end, adoptions will resume, and I want to be able to give the gi of the American dream to these kids."
