Q&A with H&H Q: Take us back to the beginning—what inspired you to create Hive & Honey Mobile Bar, and how did the idea first come to life? Hive & Honey was inspired by a season of life where I became a stay-at-home, work-from-home mom during COVID. Before that, I spent years bartending in New York City and loved everything about it—the fast pace, meeting new people, creating great cocktails and of course, the dancing. Once I became a mom, my daughter became my main priority, but I still wanted an outlet for my creative side. rough researching different business ideas, I came across the Piaggio Ape and instantly fell in love with the concept. My husband and I took the leap together, and Hive & Honey was born. It allowed me to combine my passion for hospitality with the flexibility to be present for my family. Growing up, my mom owned a restaurant, and while I admired her work ethic, I also saw how demanding that lifestyle could be. I wanted to build something that allowed me to pursue my passion while still being there for my daughter. Q: What has been the biggest lesson you've learned since becoming a business owner? One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that it's never too late to try something new. It's important to believe in yourself, keep pushing for ward, and remember who you are through all seasons of life. The Party Starts Here Every great event has a natural gathering place. Sometimes it's the dance floor. Sometimes it's around the fire pit. More often than not, it's the bar. What has been the most rewarding moment of your entrepreneurial journey so far? e most rewarding part has been seeing how far we've come as a family. Aer every event, I walk away feeling proud of what my husband and I have built together while raising our daughter. Seeing our clients enjoy themselves and knowing we helped create those memories makes all the hard work & time away worth it. Q: As you look ahead, what's next for Hive & Honey, and what exciting plans are on the horizon? We have a lot of exciting ideas in the works, including our drop-off slushy stations, Bloom Bar experiences, and upcoming Hamptons events.
