"We like to take family time for dinner and on our days off, we focus on our daughter and little getaways with her," shares Melanie, who is currently pregnant with their second daughter on the way. Noting that she "feels most happy having business busy and my kids happy and healthy," Melanie details the difficult role of the female entrepreneur. "I'm a lot stronger than I thought I was, mentally and physically. I personally didn't realize that for myself until I started working for myself. ere's no steady paycheck [...] and that teaches you about how strong of a will you have to keep going and running your own business, and the mental capacity you have." Working in the event industry has shown Melanie her own resilience, the quiet fortitude and exemplary work ethic that goes in behind the scenes. "People will see me in the fancy dresses, high heels, and all done up for events and say, 'I don't know how you do it all,' but if they only saw what time I got there for the event!" she laughs. "By the time the guests arrive, we've already put so much into creating an experience that feels effortless and perfect for each client–and that's the part I love." With the continued growth of Snapped Society, Melanie is passionate about creating unforgettable experiences and looks forward to expanding the company's reach in the years ahead.
