VUE: You're both known for your confidence. At this level, how much of the game is physical versus mental? Breece: For me, it's all physical. Like Kayvon said, I'm getting chased by 11 people every play. Essentially, the defensive coordinator is game- planning to stop your running back and stop your best receivers. At the end of the day, no matter how fast you are or how much talent you have, football is a physical game, and you have to out-physical your opponent. at's what it is. Kayvon: I would agree with that. For me, I'd say it's kind of 60/40. You definitely have to be big, strong, and fast. Offense has to put a scheme together, and being on defense, you've got to be a little more in shape because you've got to run, you've got to chase, and you've got to line back up and do it again. So I'd say about 60/40. There's a lot of mental that goes into it, even though we're out there running around and hitting people. VUE: Forget individual stats for a second. When the season is over, what would make you look back and say, "Wow, that was a great year"? Kayvon: In football, and being in New York, the numbers don't lie, people do. But even though we're not looking at stats, it's wins. I think Breece can attest to this: it doesn't really matter what you do individually as long as you're on a winning team. I think the success of the team really dictates the happiness of the players and the organization. Breece: I think in every sport, the sport's better when New York teams are good. So I feel like as long as the New York teams are good, everybody in sports is going to be a little bit more excited. VUE ON | THE RIVALRY 64 VUENJ.COM
