favorite quote is "a society grows great when
people plant trees whose shade they know they
will never sit in." As he puts it, "that idea has
always resonated with me because it speaks to
something I value deeply, doing things that are
bigger than yourself. To me, that's the essence of
selflessness and connection. We're all standing
in the shade of things that someone before us
chose to plant, and I think there's something
beautiful about accepting the responsibility to
do the same for those who come aer us. It's a
reminder that a meaningful life isn't only about
what we accomplish for ourselves, but also
about what we leave behind for others."
For Barnett, art is a planted tree. Eric provides
