W
hen we think about flying on a
private jet, the first thing that
comes to mind are often words
like "luxury" or "leisure." But
what flying private really represents is convenience.
It means direct flights to remote destinations that
can't be reached by commercial airliners, bypassing
TSA and security lines, and not having to deal with
the hassle of a major hub airport. Personally, I can't
remember the last time I enjoyed going through x-ray
machines barefoot at 7 a.m.
Private jet charters also utilize over 5,000 airports
nationwide, as opposed to commercial airlines which
use only about 500 to 600. Routes are faster and fly
above standard air traffic patterns, while security is
handled prior to the day of the trip. In essence, you
get your time back; in the air and on the ground.
Just as the ground transportation industry has
become diversified over the past few years, with
the surge of smartphone apps like Uber completely
changing everything we once knew about car service,
private jet charters have begun a transformation of
their own. In the last year, industry leaders have made
strides to create comprehensive smartphone apps
which allow users to book private jets on-demand,
24/7, 365 days a year.
