A 1920s cinema served as the
inspiration for this family's vintage-
inspired home theater. A project
taken on by Digital Architecture
Inc., it was one of the biggest
theaters their team has ever built
and they spent over two years
completing it. The theater is lined
with limestone, custom upholstery,
woodwork and features authentic
'20s-style glass doors and a
ticket booth. Due to the theaters
considerably odd shape, the space
was tested by an acoustician in
order to ensure there was no sound
imperfection. It was then fully
fabricated for an added finish. Digital
Architecture Inc. installed a 135-
inch screen with a JVC projector
and 7.2 Triad speaker system. The
entire theater is controlled via
remote control and all the music,
lighting and outside bar can also be
controlled through the basement.
