W orking with architecture firm Lessard Design Associates since 2007—-known for their previous projects such as the neighboring luxury building "The Pearl" and proper- ties in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow—- has allowed The Glass House to make creating these homes their newest pas- sion project. Lessard drew inspiration from the architectural stylings of Mi- ami-esque buildings and brought many Floridian-style touches to this Northeast- ern location, including large Florida sail- ing windows that allow natural sunlight to illuminate every corner of the space leading out to your own private balco- ny. Tall ceilings contribute to the over- all spacious motif of The Glass House homes, ranging from 9-foot ceilings in the second-floor condominiums to 12- foot in the first-floor townhouses. All of these little design details come together to forge The Glass House's dream homes fit for potential buyers. The development's mission statement speaks to the host of amenities that it affords: "Designed for THE WAY WE LIVE TODAY with resort-style amenities that allow you to create your own five-star experience without ever having to leave home." Appliances and materials found within the homes include customizable floor stains (on 5-inch natural white oak), a Sub-Zero fridge and Wolf Range Bosch dishwasher and microwave. There are also design-ready homes available for purchase for those looking to make it all their own. The Glass House also cares deeply about its carbon footprint and has done everything in its power to limit their impact on the environment. Marvin energy-efficient glass prevents homes from needing to be cooled constantly and along the same line is the smart home thermostat that can be controlled via smartphone. This allows residents to cool and heat their homes when they're actually in them, rather than continuously throughout the day. Water pressure systems also come equipped with instant hot water to avoid unnecessary water flow; all of this adds to the eco-friendly appeal of The Glass House. The Glass House representative, Lauren Calabria, explained to us that the their aim is to offer a lifestyle that combines "the comfort of home life with the relaxation that comes with being on vacation." Outside of the homes themselves, a number of different resources and activities are available that emulate 'vacation at home' promise. Located on the third floor, The Oasis Club is available to all residents and guests and offers access to a fitness center, barbeque area, cabanas, firepit, library, 24-hour concierge, business center and a roof deck on the southern tower with firepits, cabanas and designer pool. A private pier with a separate lounging area sets the perfect ambiance that one desires in an all-inclusive building like The Glass House. Private shuttle service is open to the entire property and transports residents to places such as Port Imperial for day trips to the city. Leaving no leaf unturned, The Glass House is the pinnacle of luxury waterfront housing. "THE COMFORT OF HOME LIFE WITH THE RELAXATION THAT COMES WITH BEING ON VACATION." VUE ON DESIGN V U E N J .
