Karolina was born in Poland, immigrated to the United States at six years
old, and faced, and then conquered, numerous obstacles and adversities
along the way. She met, and then married, an aspiring attorney and
politician, believing at that time that she had found her "happily ever after."
A few short years later, Karolina found out that her "happily ever after"
was indeed a fairy tale. Unprepared to make many of the difficult decisions
necessary, Karolina found herself divorced. This was a sobering, but yet
