he Club uses political advocacy to
further their mission of sustainability;
they lobby politicians in Washington,
D.C. to promote green policies, endorse
environmentally conscious candidates
in local elections and encourage Club
members and environmentalists to
run for public office. Over the years
the Club has helped pass essential
environmental legislation including the
Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act and
the Endangered Species Act.
