The rise of Neapolitan tailoring began in Italy
during the 1930s. This type of design defied
British standards of dress, starting with the
reconstruction of a suit jacket. Taking a less
structured, more relaxed approach, Vincenzo
Attolini was a pioneer in Italian menswear.
Through his clothing line, Cesare Attolini, now
overseen by his two grandsons, Neapolitan
tailoring not only references a specific style,
but an attitude of effortless luxury.
For their Fall Winter 2018/2019 collection,
Cesare Attolini journeys through the eclectic
regions of Northern Italy—touring the ancient
city of Bologna, the heart of Motor Valley
and exploring the delicacies of Parma. Rich
cashmeres are on display alongside winter
wools, overcoats and sultry shades of navy
and crimson that celebrate the season.
