It seems fitting that BreeLayne Ring and James Hunter Carter, a creative couple with shared
values and philosophies, would exchange marriage vows amidst the towering redwoods of St.
Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California. A unique and visionary pair, BreeLayne and Hunter knew
their wedding would circumvent tradition and be outside the box. "We wrote our vows ourselves
and at no point did we stick to tradition unless it served to express our way of seeing life and
marriage," says Hunter.
e couple met when Hunter was apartment shopping one aernoon in West Hollywood.
BreeLayne was out walking her dog and Hunter did a double-take as a pretty girl passed him by.
As fate would have it, a couple of months later Hunter heard a dog barking near his new apartment
and quickly realized it was the same dog (and the same cute girl) he spotted when he first moved
in. Hunter invited BreeLayne over to meet some of his pets, and an instant connection developed
between the pair.
