S ince opening its doors in 2015, Larkspur Botanicals has amassed a strong wedding portfolio. Specializing in 'bespoke and whimsical weddings,' the design firm prides itself on creating unique weddings and never creating the same floral story twice. Neff attests, "It's an honor that most of our wedding clients seek us out for our aesthetic rather than shop around. We only curate so many weddings a year to keep things fresh. I'd rather do fewer weddings and have them be superb rather than be a wedding factory and do the same wedding over and over again." In addition to wedding design, another large portion of Larkspur Botanical's work is corporate styling. Larkspur Botanicals helps companies style their events, installations, and activations. Among Neff 's corporate client list are big names such as Porsche, Bloomingdales, Disney, ZipCar, Neiman Marcus and Macallan whisky. According to Neff, her "made-it" moment was when her firm was asked to design flower crowns for Disney's "Maleficent" Flower Crown Bar at a Brooklyn Festival. "We made 2,500 flower crowns; as I looked out at the crowd I could see hundreds of flower crowns at a time, all made by my company–it was surreal," Neff exclaims. But Neff 's work is not just a means to a whimsical, flowery end. Neff knows that without a healthy, flourishing natural environment, her work would not be possible. She and her firm honor the environment through their consistently sustainable practices: "Larkspur Botanicals prides itself on being one of the only florists in the tri-state area that is Certified Sustainable through the New Jersey Sustainable Business Registry. We source our flowers as locally and seasonally as possible, relying on local growers in the tri-state almost entirely from April through October. We also have been floral foam-free since 2015, opting to use only reusable materials such as test tubes and plant-based hydration wraps to create everything from centerpieces to the large-scale installations." With Larkspur Botanical's extensive wedding and corporate portfolios as well as their environmentally conscious philosophy, it comes as no surprise that Elisa and Chris chose them to style their Poconos Mountain wedding. e Ledges Hotel, built directly into the mountains and waterfalls of Pennsylvania, was the perfect venue to accommodate the couples' 120 guests and create the rustic, ethereal aesthetic Elisa and Chris were seeking for their big day.
