D rive through Saddle River, a beautiful small town in Bergen County, New Jersey, roughly 25 minutes away from New York City. Keep on going further into the town among the many winding roads that crisscross the woods in the outskirts. There you will find a home, or should I say, a palace seemingly made for kings. You are sure to find it, eventually: you will see it appear from among the trees, almost like a castle out of a storybook. It is known as the "Stone Palace on the Hill," and the name does it justice - and not just because the property's entire facade is granite and diamond laser-cut and hand- crafted for a castle-like look. Standing in the middle of a 6-acre piece of land, measuring 32,507 sqft and sporting an astonishing 13 bedrooms, 10 full baths, and two half baths, the Stone Palace is a sprawling, palatial mansion that dazzles the senses and overwhelms the mind from the very first glance. Step through the huge double front door and into the foyer, and feel your jaw will hit the floor as you gaze up at the massive, hand-made Hermitage chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Just beyond it, a magnificent 7-foot wide grand staircase built of Botticino Italian marble and featuring hand-forged iron railings decorated with intricate, 24-karat gold plated decorations extends up to the second floor, inviting you to explore.
