Its amenities are equally extravagant. Beyond offering some of the more traditional luxury amenities, such as indoor and outdoor pools, a walk in wine cellar, a billiards room, a recently renovated home theatre with 4k technology, and an illuminated tennis court, it also includes some features that are a bit harder to find in the market. See, for example, the library, which was designed after the Monplaisir palace in St. Petersburg and features both a mahogany mantle and hand-painted canvas ceilings; the commercial-grade glass elevator that services all four floors of the Stone Palace while gracing its passengers with beautiful mountain vistas; the stunning glass solarium, full house generator, a sauna, regulation racquetball court, steam room and, of course, the 2,200sf ballroom with its hand-cut inlaid wood floors designed by the Italian architect, Antonio Rinaldi. All of this - the ballroom, the elevator, the plasterwork, and even the gorgeous custom lighting fixtures- underscores the true custom nature of this home. More importantly, everything is made with the highest quality materials and impeccable attention to detail. The result is a truly unique property - simultaneously a home and a work of art. "You can't get craftsmanship like this anymore. Not with this level of quality," said Lisa Troyano-Ascolese, the sole owner and broker of Engel &Völkers Hoboken, one of the world's leading luxury real estate companies. The Stone Palace is currently on the market for the very first time, and with an asking price of $17,500,000, it is one of New Jersey's most prestigious listings. Of course, finding the right buyer for a property such as Stone Palace can be a challenge. According to Troyano-Ascolese, " You need to find someone who appreciates this level of quality and can afford it. There's only a handful of people in the world who can afford a property like this." But that is why the owners of the property chose to enlist Engel & Völkers in their endeavor: not only do they have a stellar international reputation, but also a wide global footprint which, in Troyano-Ascolese's words, allows them to "get maximum exposure overseas and reach qualified buyers around the world." In many ways, the Stone Palace seems more the stuff of dreams than of reality: a magnificent, extravagant mansion befit for a king - and who hasn't dreamed of being royalty? But the Stone Palace is more than just an ultra-luxurious manor: it is a love-letter to the architectural and design styles of old, and a testament to the builder's vision and relentless pursuit for perfection. It is also a family home - indeed, one can argue that it is the perfect family home. But most importantly, the Stone Palace is, at its core, a work of art and a labor of excellence. "It's a one-of-a-kind estate," said Troyano-Ascolese. "A collector's piece for the person who wants something completely different than what everyone else is doing, and won't settle for anything less than the best."
