How DFI Came To Be Inspired by a friend's trip overseas to get a hair transplant, Abe Ayesh, started on a personal quest to make the best in hair loss treatments accessible to everyone. Upon his friend's return, Abe flew to the clinic his friend had visited. "I wanted to know more about their treatment and what technologies they were using," remarked Abe. "I was intrigued with what I learned from that trip and wanted to know more." Abe later visited clinics in Turkey, Spain and Asia. He talked with doctors and experts in the industry. Last he toured the US to check out equipment, treatments and processes used in the states. "I went around the world to find the uniqueness of different countries and what they were doing in hair transplants. I was driven to find out what made every hair clinic different," said Abe. "We spent a lot of time researching, talking with doctors, and visiting hair treatment centers. We put the best of everything we found together and came up with our own method." Abe continued, "We wanted a solution that was superior to anything else out there. Whatever we came up with had to be affordable, offer guaranteed results and look natural. The team was driven by a deep desire to leave a legacy. We wanted to pioneer something new in the industry that would change people's lives." Direct Follicle Implantation, or DFI as referred to by Abe and his team, is a game changer for the hair restoration industry. The process and method employed by Abe's clinics guarantees a natural look and minimal downtime. The DFI method In DFI, an implanter tool is used to implant the hair graphs at an angle. Graphs are taken from a doner site on the back of the individual's head. This area heals very quickly. Usually within 24 – 48 hours. SmartGraft technology, combined with highly trained technicians and an advanced extraction process maximizes the number of grafts they are able to take. Abe explained, "If you've ever seen a guy who has had a hair transplant, the hair typically sticks straight up. With most methods, they just drop the graphed hair in a hole. You have to train your hair to go back. Sometimes without much success. With DFI, each strand of hair is inserted at an angle. We follow the same angle of your hairline. When it grows, it grows naturally." Downtime is very little. You can be back to work the next day. That's huge. No costly trips to exotic locations, no extensive recovery period and no lost time from work. Most important, you have easy access to your doctor for follow ups should they be needed. W hat Patients Can Expect Abe shared what patients can expect when they come in for a consultation. "Education is our focus. We educate patients from start to finish, so they understand the entire process. We want them to know what will happen and how long it will take for new hair to grow. Our doctors are very approachable. We encourage people to ask questions. We want them to be comfortable with everything before making a decision." "Hair more than anything else in the esthetics industry is a source of self-esteem. When you lose it, it can completely change the way you feel about yourself," shared CEO of Eternal Hair & Esthetics, Abe Ayesh. V U E N J .C O M 159
