H onestly, why stay anywhere else? Not only are the rooms at The Peninsula an authentic New York experience with views of the city, but for the occasion of their reopening, The Peninsula New York has installed new art installations throughout the hotel for guests to explore. Not only are you getting the most incredible views of New York, but you're also getting spectacular perspectives from the paintings residing on their walls. For example, New York painter, sculptor, and drafter, Steve Zolin's new exhibit, City Rhythms, is on view at Gotham Lounge. In keeping with its tradition of presenting art of the highest quality, The Peninsula New York has partnered with the Swiss Institute and curated a selection of artworks that center upon the idea of a life enroute. With ten successful sister hotels around the world, The Peninsula must be doing something right. Locations range from Hong Kong, to Shanghai, to Chicago, to Paris, of course New York, and more. I was fortunate to stay at the New York location one week after it reopened from its COVID-19 closure. Through its re-introduction, upgrades to not only the hotel features but its products has continued. The Peninsula hotel group will become one of the first hotel groups to require eco-conscious products at all locations. The ecological products like shampoos, conditioners, and body wash will continue to be crafted by expert fragrance curators. So, you can expect to enjoy the aroma and the views of Rockefeller Plaza while taking a bath or while enjoying room service. In addition, Cartier, Dolce and Gabbana, and Coach are right outside the door for you to immerse yourself in during your stay. The phrase "the wait will be worth it," rings true at The Peninsula where despite being closed for over a year The Peninsula due to the pandemic, they haven't forgotten how to spoil their guests. With the new "Rediscover Manhattan" package, guests will receive daily continental breakfast for two adults, complimentary parking, and a choice of cultural experience for two at MOMA or the Top of the Rock Observation Deck. To get the most out of your stay, every guest who books a room on the Peninsula website or through their preferred travel advisor can enjoy Peninsula Time, which includes flexible check-in and check-out times. Because it's New York, we obviously can't forget about the nightlife. The Peninsula's rooftop bar, Salon De Ning is an incredible experience. Even with a balcony boasting views all over the city or an exceptional seat in the house that overlooks Central Park, the view isn't the only remarkable thing. Salon de Ning allows its guests to experience fine dining, perfectly crafted cocktails, and even cigars for purchase. The hotel's restaurant, Clement Restaurant, is awaiting re-opening in the fall, along with several other amenities, including the pool and spa that overlooks Central Park and the fully equipped gym with numerous Peloton bikes. The wait will be well worth it. In the meantime, be sure to enjoy the in-room dining, because who doesn't love having breakfast in bed? The Peninsula does think repeatedly about what is best and easiest for its guests. From sewing kits to complimentary three- hour usage of Mini Coopers with chauffeurs to take you around Manhattan. And as the theaters reopen, The Peninsula will provide complimentary shuttles to the theater district in New York on Friday and Saturday evenings. With annual new art installations and seasonally changed scents distributed throughout each sister location, staying just once or going to a single location is never an option. When you visit The Peninsula, expect to be treated like royalty by their gracious and dedicated staff, who are sure to add to the decadent experience. V U E N J .C O M 88
