T he Equinox Hotel is the epitome of sleek and sophisticated luxury. Beginning on the 25th floor of a high-rise, located at the Hudson Yards in New York City, The Equinox Hotel emits its air of prestige and elegance from the moment you arrive. Designed by David Rockwell and Joyce Wang, the interior and exterior are stunning. The entry is a minimalist, high- ceiling, lobby where you are directed to an elevator to take you up to the reception area. There you are met with attentive and knowledgeable staff eager to ensure your stay is perfect. The hotel is polished with marble accents in the hallways leading to the rooms. Key card entry provides access to your home away from home. The rooms are high-tech with a keypad on the wall that operates various lighting selections for optimal room ambiance, and motorized shades for the floor-to- ceiling windows. The modern theme continues with an IPad on the nightstand detailing amenities and services available within the hotel. The bathroom offers Grown Alchemist products with scents and formulas tailor-made for Equinox properties. Nestled in a drawer is a fully stocked minifridge that also has cold towels for those who need to cool off after a visit to the 60,000 square foot Equinox fitness club. You can also make use of the yoga mat stashed in one of the drawers for a quick stretch or meditation. If you enjoy a drink before dinner or even a nightcap, rooms offer a small but impressive bar selection for guests to have a drink of their choosing in the room's intimate lounge space. Other amenities include an indoor 25-yard saltwater lap pool, a 50-yard outdoor leisure pool, a Soul Cycle, and the ultimate Spa for rejuvenation. Complete your stay with dinner at restaurateur Stephan Starr's Electric Lemon. The New American restaurant is The Equinox placed just a floor below the hotel's reception. Guests may lounge by the bar in seating overlooking the city, enjoy dinner indoors, or dine and lounge in the outdoor space with picturesque views across the Hudson River. V U E N J .C O M 89
