BY LAUREN SINGER Centrada is the Latin word for "center" and so a fitting name for the restaurant Centrada that sits in the heart of Red Bank. The restaurant welcomes guests with an eclectic Latin vibe that reflects the vibrancy of Tulum, the intimacy of Barcelona, and the style of Cuba. The real story of this restaurant, though, starts with Chef Norman Reola's Pan-Latin dishes that stem from popular dishes from these areas enhanced with his own touches. " The Pan-Latin food was the reference for the design team who worked closely with the ownership team to create a high- energy, modern space with crafted finishes that add an extra level of warmth and comfort to the dining experience," says Vincent Celano, Founder and CEO at Celano Design Studio who's team lead the design and branding for the concept. This three-storied restaurant boasts two dining rooms, three bars, and a private dining room located on the third floor. For a better dining experience, the overall flow and layout of the restaurant was created so that the servers and the customers rarely cross. "Everything about the design of Centrada was carefully picked out to add to the intended vibe of the restaurant," notes Celano. Tiling, and a splash of color on the wood and seating area was added to bring life to the existing brick of the building structure. The "mar lounge," located on the first floor, is the main dining area. Stylistic geometric wood and tile finishes highlight the primary dining room and V U E N J .C O M 113
