Elegant power radiates through the interlacing
tale of life and art created by multimedia artist,
Shantell Martin. Growing up in Central London
and later relocating to both the West and East
coast of the United States, Martin is well-versed
in the art world. Achieving a degree in Art
and Design and Illustration from acclaimed
art university, Central Saint Martins College,
Martin exhibits extensive talent through
mediums ranging from line-based art and
drawing to choreography, compositions, and
apparel. Shantell Martin pulls true authenticity
out of her art and its viewers through her
power of invoking thought through her pieces
and exhibits.
While the foundation for Martin's art style is
derived from her drawing and line work, it can
take on many diff erent forms. She explained
her art's core saying, "I try not to put myself
in boxes when scribing a style," going on to
explain how her art can be transferred into
diff erent mediums including code, furniture,
architecture, performances, and product, while
still maintaining her identity as an artist.
