Making history in the digital art world, Martin combined her
drawings with digital technologies to contribute to the piece.
"e Question" is e Los Angeles County Museum of Art's
first NFT (non-fungible token) acquisition, "e Question"
significantly expands the ideas surrounding digital art. e
NFT is used to preserve the piece and have it become a part
of art history. NFT's are a new medium and the LACMA
adopting the form opens new doors by creating a permanence
to the collection, as it will be there as long as the museum
exists.
By not sticking to one medium, Martin has the opportunity
to challenge herself and her mind, allowing her to further
explore who she really is and get to know her authentic self.
By sticking to her authenticity and digging deeper within
herself, anything can be possible.
Martin has established her spot as a groundbreaking artist
with huge collaborations including e North Face, murals
for Ralph Lauren, created NFT's for Playboy and David
Bowie, along with creating artwork for charities, such as
Amref Health Africa.
To draw inspiration for her work, Martin invests her time into
nature by going on walks in new destinations, and spending
time outdoors to reinspire and reground herself. With the
belief that separating yourself from the "real world" at times
is good for the soul, this is where Martin finds her peace and
derives the inner workings of her art.
